The Bostik Car Silicone Sealant Black 280ML is a high-quality, black silicone sealant that is designed for use on cars. It is resistant to UV radiation, weathering, aging, and water, and can be used for sealing joints, gaps, and cracks both inside and outside of the car. It is also suitable for DIY tasks around the house that require a black sealant. However, it may become discoloured when in contact with certain materials such as organic elastomers, mirrors, and natural stone. It is not suitable for use on fish tanks, cannot be painted over, and should not be used on cylinder head gaskets or parts exposed to fuel. It is also not suitable for use on alkaline surfaces or certain metals as it may cause corrosion. The package contains 1 x BOSTIK Car Silicone Sealant Black 280ml.

Bostik Car is a black, part acetoxy curing high quality silicone sealant thatprovides a permanent, flexible, durable, watertight seal for inside, outside andunderneath the car. The sealant is extremely resistant to UV radiation,weathering, aging and water, and offers excellent chemical resistance and isunaffected by alcohols, diluted acids, alkalis, and detergents.
Excellent for sealing joints, gaps and cracks inside, outside and underneath the car, such as sealing of leaking window joints and water hoses, low temperature gasket applications and replacing of windscreens. Also ideal for sealing, bonding, and mending DIY tasks around the house where a black colour sealant is required.
May become discoloured in contact with some organic elastomers, which tendto bleed oil or solvents into the silicone, e.g. EPDM, APTK, Neoprene andBituminous surfaces. Not suitable for mirrors as it will de-silver the mirrorbacking, affecting the front appearance of the mirror. Not suitable for contactwith natural stone i.e. marble, granite, quartzite as it may discolour the surfaces.Will not adhere to some plastics such as polyethylene, polypropylene and Teflon.
Do not apply sealant when relative humidity is below 10% - cure rate will beaffected.
Warning:
NOT SUITABLE FOR FISH TANKS(contains a fungicide).
NOT paintable.
Not suitable for cylinder head gaskets or for parts permanently exposed to fuel.
Not suitable for alkaline surfaces such as concrete, fibrous cement, asbestos,plaster and marble.
Not suitable for some metals i.e. mild steel, lead, copper, tin,galvanized iron, brass or zinc as it may cause corrosion.
